Art of the Book ‘08

Ross & I went to the Art of the Book ‘08 show a couple of weeks ago. Sponsored by the Canadian Bookbinders and Book Artists Guild in celebration of their 25th Anniversary, it was held at the Ontario Crafts Council Gallery in Toronto, Ontario.

This link leads to the webpage that I have submitted for an assignment in my Public Texts course.

It has been a very long time since I have made a webpage - it took a lot longer than they used to! My web development skills have gotten very rusty, it seems! And I never did have the graphic arts ability needed to ever get really good at webpage design.

Anyway… although I could no doubt spend hours more on it, it is a small assignment, and I have a psychology paper to write and an exam to prepare for, as well as other reading, assignments, and so on to get to - so it is time to stop. Time to move on to other things. This week is going to be SO messed up - I need to get as much as I can done today so that my grandmother’s funeral and all the extra driving that means doesn’t set me back too far.

Comments about the webpage, or about the books featured on it always welcome.

Like the looks of the Cruising site HOWEVER I cannot read the words that were printed in green. Saw the white dot so I know something is there but the words were too much the colour of the background. I like reading every word of your blogs. Thanks

I’ve been having a hard time with that …white and yellow are the only two colours (so far) that really seem to be visible for the link colour no matter where they fall - will have to play some more and find others

Loved the site, easy to figure out, get around and interesting to read. Loved the sound effect, will be nice to hear the music. Love this site also, real interesting and I like the Shelfari side bar. It looks really nice.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Much easier to read and visited all the pages. Looks very good and very professional.

Will you be turning this into a musical as well? The idea sounds horribly fascinating but hopefully will not generate copycat realities.
