Years ago, we switched from satellite to cable television.
But now, at our new house in Peterborough, I made the mistake of switching back.
i have heard not very nice things about the local cable provider here - not the one I am used to - so decided to go with Bell.ca for everything.
Honestly - am SO not impressed.
Phone service is fine.
Internet - sucking! Constant issues re: which account I want to send email from because Bell won’t allow Rogers to go through - so can no longer just hit reply to and send … I have to remember to also change the sending account.
And TV - OMG it is MAJOR SUCKING!! We have two tvs - one up, one down. And on both of them, the sound and video are SO NOT SYNCHED. I hate that.
On cable (at our other house) - occasional problems specific to one channel/show or another - but here it is on every single channel all the time. It is incredibly distracting and annoying.
I’m not a big TV watcher anyway - but now I don’t enjoy ANY TV at all.
Searched their site looking for troubleshooting info tonight - didn’t find anything, and online chat isn’t available now (and doesn’t tell me when it WILL be available; also annoying). Will try again tomorrow - but I’d be interested to know if this is typical of satellite television. If you use satellite, please do tell!

HMPH! That won’t do… came into this site in Firefox for the first time today and I see that my text widgets are, for some unknown reason, not behaving.
Not sure how to fix that, but I shall have to find a way… it irks me.
I installed Firefox today because I was reading a bit in the Entrecard forum and saw it mentioned several times… (Yes, I AM supposed to be working, not Entrecarding or reading forums or Gathering or… as a matter of fact).
So … finally got around to downloading Firefox, and also grabbed the Entrecard toolbar. Me likey!
It makes dropping SO much easier… can whip right through the Inbox and my Favourites in no time at all, and then hop along to the categories I like best - it loads up 5 (or more) pages at a time in tabs. Much MUCH more efficient than loading them one at a time in IE. And when I want to follow an card to another page, I don’t have to right click, open in new tab - firefox does that automatically for me. Did I mention I am liking the toolbar?
Perhaps I’ll get lucky and Firefox will do a better job of handling the craptastic Internet at the motel, also… would be nice to be able to get all my drops in every day - it irritates me that I lose ground (i.e. popularity) because I can’t do the dropping as well on the days that I’m not at home.
ANYWAY… enough babbling… back to Adolescent Psychology I go
