This musical is my major assignment in my Textual Transmissions course. In the course, we are studying texts that "take the every day and render it as moral horror" (syllabus), including multiple versions of Sweeney Todd
We had a number of options re: our major project. I could write a research paper. Or, rewrite part of one of the plays/musicals we are studying.
Me being me, I chose option #3, which was not provided - I wanted to write one o' my own.
Receiving permission to do so, I proceeded to explore contemporary urban legends, and decided that my work would start from the urban myth(s) about organs being stolen to be used in transplants.
And here we are.
